Is Plastic Surgery the only Option

for Sagging Jowls and Double Chins?

Well, of course the answer must be “no” or else we wouldn’t have this nice blog to read would we?  Up until recently at Carter MD Aesthetics we had several options to help deal with these lower face concerns including creative use of fillers, botulinum toxin A (to achieve the so-called Nefertiti lift), SculpSure (a fat-injuring laser), Kybella (a fat-injuring acid), PDO absorbable threads, and skin tightening lasers.  Each of these modalities have their place in select patients and they will continue to be a value oriented way to lessen the appearance of sagging jowls or double chins for many of us.

So what is new at CMDA that would work even better than the above options?  And what if the patient has excess fat in the jowl or under the chin regions?  Well, we now have just exactly the tools to consider if the best answer may actually be surgery, but that option for one reason or another just doesn’t quite fit into one’s particular situation.  The answer?  AccuTite or FaceTite, with or without small cannula liposuction, and topped off with a Morpheus8 treatment prior to going home!

And the best parts of the whole thing are that the total time it takes is about two hours and the treatment is close to painless.  Also the patient is awake the whole time and can drive themselves home.  The time it takes to be presentable to the public is between 3-5 days.  Bruising is minimal, and the initial swelling goes down quickly.  Compare this option with the plastic surgery option which would cost many times what Accu/FaceTite plus Morpheus8 would cost.  And compare 3-6 weeks of downtime for the surgical approach versus 3-5 days for our much faster in office technique.

There are of course so many options.  What is the concerned potential patient to do?  Meet with one of the knowledgeable nurses or myself at Carter MD Aesthetics for a complementary consult and sort out the exact plan to meet or exceed your expectations.  We look forward to helping you problem solve.
